My Love My Love We've Come Back From the Dead

Hello all its been a long time, and I want to thank you all for coming back and reading this post. First of all I would like to announce that after long agonizing months we have finally completed all the replicating and designing of the DVD's for Scarecrow of Nations. It has included all the cool special features that I promised. If you would like to get your hands on this, don't wait because supplies are limited, and I wouldn't want you to miss out, so just contact me at josh.antiochproductions@gmail.com, Ryan at ryanleith@msn.com or James at james.antiochproductions@gmail.com.
Thier is one other piece of business I would like to discuss. Seeing how the summer is coming to an end, and Ryan, James and I are attending three different schools up and down the state of California I would like to take the opportunity to let you know that Antioch will be taking a break. I know that the news may be sad to some, but all I have to say to that is get over it, because their are a lot more important things you should be worrying about. Anyway this does not mean that Antioch is dead it just means you may not see any work from us for a few years. If the day should ever come, and we should re-emerge hopefully we'll get the kind of support that we have had over the last year.
I plan to start a new site in the near future that will follow my life and work up in San Francisco. I don't know when I'll get around to this but, I will let you know when the time comes.
Thank you all for the support, I hope that it hasn't been in vain, and make sure that you look us up in a few years.

Truly, Truly, Truly This is the End
Sorry for the large gap of time, binding my last update to this brand spankin' new one. I have a lot to catch you up on, but I'll try not to be long winded. The premiere for Scarecrow of Nations went as well as I could have imagined. We had close to 100 people which was amazing. The response was positive, I think, and I was happy with how it turned out. We are now working on the DVD which is looking quite nice if I may say. This DVD should be out soon, and it will include a gag reel, behind the scenes featurette, and a couple of other features. That should be done within a couple weeks. You guys are definately going to want one. If you do contact me at my email josh.antiochproductions@gmail.com or add a comment to this post with your name and contact info and I'll get you one. I have sent the film to a couple of festivals, and I'll keep you updated on the future of our film. Thanks again for all of the support.

This is where it all begins
On saturday James, Ryan, and I woke up early, and went to Chris Pogues house to pick up his nice powerbook to begin editing "Scarecrow of Nations" (thanks again Chris). We had to recapture all of our stuff, which was a bummer, because we had to sit around for three hours getting no work done. The first thing that we set out to do was make a really good teaser trailer for the movie. It didn't meet my expectations, it surpassed them. James did such an outstanding job it makes me giddy everytime I watch it. As you may have noticed we used the services of Google Video this time instead of You tube. The reason is becuase You tube doesn't format any videos in widescreen and google video does. The only problem is that google video has to verify anything that they put on their site, and that is why it took a couple days for me to post it. So enjoy the trailer, and we'll have a secure date for the premier shortly.Friday, May 05, 2006
The whole world is depending on us and they dont even know it
The day of redemption has come upon us. We have wrapped filming the second film by Antioch Productions "Scarecrow of Nations". The last days of filming went without any flaws. Sunday we had an issue with scheduling because our talent got called into work, so we had to reschedule it to Tuesday. This didn't make me angry, because we had a shoot Wednesday. I have quickly discovered making this film that when you let things get you angry you prduce work that sucks. Roll with the punches, now if I could just teach that to Ryan we wouldn't waste time throwing equipment across the room. The last day of shooting went by fast. Chris messed up about twenty times but it made for some good outakes, so look for in on the DVD. We did have some down time during the shoot, because we had to wait for it to get dark. So we took some time shooting ourselves with our powerful airsoft gun that gave Ryan and I some nice welts on our hands. But Anthony took the cake when he let us shoot him in the bare butt. We filmed and Im sorry to say that it will also make it on the DVD, but we'll probably hide it. We have captured the footage, but still having some troubles finding an editing computer. It will work itself out though in the end Im sure. Check back soon and find out whats going on in post-production, and more info on the premier.Sunday, April 30, 2006
With a Gun Down Your Throat You Can Only Speak In Vowels
I know that you may be slightly upset that I haven't been updating the site every shoot day like I promised, but it's for a good reason... I'VE BEEN SHOOTING THE EFFING MOVIE!After the shoot from hell the Antioch decided that we should pray before every shoot. This has been our savior, because after that decision we have had great shoots. I'll update you on the details. Thursday we skipped school and showed up on location at 8 in the morning, and didn't wrap that day until 11 at night. But it was all worth because we got three days worth of shooting done in one day. Friday we went to LA to shoot at the precinct. That was phenomanal. We got eveything done, and it looked fantastic. After the shoot we went to Tommy's burgers, if your ever in LA I seriously reccommend that you try it out. On saturday we showed up at the Geneva Presbyterian chruch to shoot the entire interrogation scene. Although we had a couple of hiccups we got everything, and It looks fantastic.
While we were shooting the interrogation scene I was watching all of the shots in our monitor in Black and White, and we decided that on the DVD you will have the option of watching the film in noir version which will totally be in Black and White. I don't know if anyone will watch it, but I think that it will be sweet. Another DVD update, a friend of ours matt, filmed some behind the scenes stuff on friday at the precinct so we will also have that featured on the DVD. I will keep you updated on the last days of fiilming, post production, and the screening. So please come back.
I would now like to thank the members of cast and crew for all their dedication to the project-
Cast-
Gene, Chris, Randy, Doug, Jan, Arian, and Dave
Crew- Anthony, Lyndsey, Katie, Matt, and anyone else who I forgot, and thank you all for you support.

Creating Something Out of Nothing Only to Destroy It
The journey of pre-production came to a close, and a new epic journey began. That's right we started filming Monday night. All of us were ecstatic to get behind the camera and begin shooting our next fil. We arrived at Ryan's early to set up. Everything went very smoothly, and when the cast arrived we were ready to go. That is when the devil showed up. Everything went to hell. All the things that could go wrong, did. We had equipment problems light problems, everything. We finally had to end the shoot prematuarally, and only got two shots done. When the shooting was done I walked outside I screamed loud profanities that I cannot write on this blog, and woke the neighbors. We had to reschedule our shoots. We all went home feeling terrible. I woke up and had a terrible day.I then started to feel better when we fixed all of our equipment problems, and found out that the footage we shot looked perfect. The whole thing is just a small bump in the road. One good thing that came out of that night from hell was that we took some bitchin' photos so please check out the flickr site located to the right. Please come back this week and see updates on everyday we shoot. We'll have new pics and more news. Please pray for us we'll need it. Thanks for the support.
